As some of you know, I took the rugrats to Paris last week to meet up with my folks. I was torn whether to bring my big camera and laptop, but when push came to shove, (and I was staring down a 90 pound stroller!), I decided to rely just on my phone.
So when Maryann at powerofpaint.net and domestically-speaking.net emailed while we were in France that she wanted to feature the cool dining table I painted for a friend, I was panicked. 
How can I blog? What will I do? Wah….
The good news is that all of you survived…and so did I. So this post is a few days late. 🙂
Didn’t the reupholstery turn out great on these chairs? My friend chose well!
I like the clean, not overly distressed look of these pieces together. Annie Sloan never disappoints!

What color did you use for the chairs? I’m about to paint my dining room table annie sloan old white and just haven’t been able to decide on a color for my chairs.

4 of the chairs are Paris Gray, and two (host and hostess chairs) are Duck Egg mixed with Pure White (about 3:1 blend). I used Duck Egg as an accent on the dining table and the hutch to tie all the pieces together in the room.

Because of this being a dining table did you use anything other than wax to seal the top?
Great question. No, I used wax and the top has taken serious abuse and needs to be redone. I’ve since been using either Modern Masters’ Dead Flat (3 coats) or Zars Ultra Max Antique Varnish (3 coats). Both are matte and hold up v well.
